why I live in Kentucky

death-mapFox News posted an interesting story on the “Death Map,” a map plotting natural disaster mortalities across the United States.  According to researchers at the University of South Carolina, people in the South living in close proximity to the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts are more likely to die from natural disasters than those in the North.  However, I thought it was interesting that most deaths are the result of heat and freezing extremities, not tornadoes and hurricanes.  One more reason I am glad to call Kentucky home.
